School Notes
- At Marianapolis, students are involved in activities across disciplines and are constantly challenging themselves to set new goals and break molds. Our curriculum encourages students to think creatively and to articulate ideas effectively. Learning by doing is a hallmark of a Marianapolis education through project-based learning platforms such as Centers of Excellence and LEAP. The Centers of Excellence allow students to pursue a specialized diploma in a specific academic track that includes an internship and culminates in a year-long capstone independent study project. LEAP (Live. Experience. Advance. Prepare.) is a required program that encourages students to step beyond customary learning situations and begin a lifelong process of challenging the self to exceed comfortable boundaries. Course offerings typically focus on specialized skills, the arts, community service, scientific field studies, cultural immersion experiences, or outdoor challenges. These signature programs have them applying what they are learning in the classroom to real-world situations on and off campus, as well as helping our students stand out within the college admission process. With over 30 clubs and organizations, as well as a plethora of athletic opportunities, Marianapolis graduates are confident, conscientious young adults ready to lead.
